Peter commenced his working career with Barclays Bank PLC. He was given the challenge of coming up with a new sector opportunity for the bank. After significant research, he identified ‘Environmental Services – waste management and renewable energy’, and created a focused industry team around it with input from the European offices of the bank.
Whilst with the bank, he was appointed its representative on the DTI Renewable Advisory Board – Finance and Working Group as well as being appointed the founding chairman of the Defra New Technologies Advisory Committee.
After leaving the bank in 2004, he took up a board position with a plasma technology company before deciding to set out on his own in 2007.
Peter still retains an interest in the financing and technical aspects of the sector. He has advised a number of companies on the strategic opportunities that the sector has to offer, been the Non Exec on the North London Waste Authority procurement board, an independent member of the London Waste and Recycling Board, a Director/Trustee of WAMITAB, and the Chair of the WEEE Advisory Body.
